Activates To Do

There is plenty of activates to participate in both on the farm and locally.

What You Can Do On The Farm:

Have a family Farmstay experience:

  • Collecting free range eggs (seasonal)
  • Bottle feeding the baby animals (seasonal): lambs & kids
  • Hand feeding the animals special treat mix to have that close up get up close for an encounter -
  • $2 per Animal feed bag
  • Taking selfies with the alpacas, goats, cows, sheep, chooks and miniature horses
  • Trying your hand at milking a goat (seasonal).
  • Meet all the different farm animals with Staff.
  • Let the family be a mini jackaroo jillaroo for the day, assist the farmers with moving the livestock, doing head counts, check animals heath Staff will have animal talks through out your stay etc.
  • Join the farmer: Join us on our daily farming routine, where you can watch, learn and ask many of those questions you have always wanted to know. The guests are welcome to join the farmers as they do there daily chores, morning and afternoon feeds for all the animals!
  • Have a picnic: Enjoy the view on a picnic blanket or bench whilst relaxing by the large dams or simply kickback relax and read a book. Be in awe of the views of the mountain range and stroll around the property to capture photo opportunity's of the scenery, wildlife and the flora. You never know when a kangaroo or wallaby will bounces by or spot a strolling wombat nibbling grass in the paddock, an eagle flying over head or a cow comes over to say Hi! On our working farm, you never know what's just around the corner.
  • Star Gazing and Photography: Being a light pollution free zone area and altitude sitting at around 1,200 meters above sea level, the sky is full of bright twinkling stars awaiting to be explored by star gazers and Astro photographers. Find a comfy spot to prop yourself in and look for a shooting stay -don't forget to wish upon that star. You may get a glimpse of a satellite or falling star, Mars, and many other planets. Our location is so close to the stars you feel as if you can almost grab the moon with your hands
  • Animal births: Our farm runs mixed livestock. Leading into spring, you may be lucky to watch the birth of a calf or pony, boer goat or dairy goat kidding, lambs or baby alpaca criers and take there first steps.
  • Bring the binoculars: The wild side of the farm experience are made up of wild kangaroos and wallabies, wombats, echidnas, possums, reptiles and many varieties of wild bird species to enjoy.
  • Bring the Camera so you don't miss a thing and the memories can be taken with you.
